A lot of people have reblogged this because of some argument about veganism. but I’d like to point out that more animals are subjected to cruelty than just the cute puppies and kitties and bunnies. Exotics like snakes and lizards and tarantulas are not only abused and neglected as well, but many people don’t even care because they see them as ‘lesser’ animals not worthy of love or even basic respect. Exotic pet lovers struggle with ignorant and insensitive people who would belittle them and talk about committing violent acts against their beloved companions to their face. Many pet stores are full of sick and dying reptiles, amphibians and arachnids, left to suffer until they die because the employees simply don’t care about their well-being. Exotics are stigmatized, depicted in media as the animal of choice for “creepy” people and disgruntled, sadistic bullies. Tarantulas most significantly, as cartoons such as Rugrats and Total Drama island have introduced tarantulas and had them smashed as jokes. I can honestly say that I’ve never seen one positive portrayal of tarantula ownership on television.

So, how about this? Reblog if you’re against cruelty against ALL animals. Not just the cute ones.

^quite possibly the greatest comment EVER

(what about Broomhilda?  She couldn’t kill Bugs Bunny because he reminded her of her tarantula.  )

I don’t consider the eating of ethically raised farm animals to be cruel.  My mother’s parents were pig and cow farmers. They had maybe three or four at a time.  It kept their family from going hungry.  Eating animals isn’t cruel, it’s natural.  What’s unnatural is causing them pain and suffering before they die, or disrespecting their sacrifice.

Japan > Everywhere else

OMG! *m*

This is Japan in a nutshell.  Forget all the crazy stuff with the weird tv programs and the cosplaying—that’s just the outer shell that gets attention because it’s unusual.  This, this is the beauty of the country.  I’ve had little grandmothers chase me down because I dropped my shinkansen tickets.  In amusement parks, the attendants do their upmost to get lost items (usually cardigans or kids’ shoes) back to the owners—before the owners even realize they’d lost said item(s). I’ve had complete strangers not only give my thorough directions but have offered to drive me to the place I needed to go.

It is so, so, so hard to go back to the States after you get the J-treatment. I mean, Japan has its downside (“What is this madness you call pizza???”), but the general attitudes of everyone—even the so-called hardcore yankees (two of whom who, on a blazing summer day, helped me find one of my schools when I was heinously lost in the labyrinth that is the neighborhood in which said school is located)—is the epitome of the mindset that I wish everyone would adopt. Because yelling at people gets you nowhere. And being able to empathize with people kinda helps make this country a really nice place to live in.

This is for an assignment that is due tomorrow.

Reblog if you think that Harry Potter should NOT be on the banned books list because it features Magic, sets bad examples, and because of dark themes.

Thanks.

Reblog if you think the Twilight series should be banned because it features rape culture, glorifies abusive relationships, and is just a horrible book series overall.

Y u watchin’ meh??

Really, I wonder why my followers actually follow me? Man, I feel like I totally abandoned this tumblr blog. Well ok, I’m pretty lazy, but I kinda feel like it’s not worth it to do something, since my art isn’t really that great. Also, I don’t really get any questions to work with (Somehow my old asks got deleted and they’re gone now <.<)

Finally, got the refsheet for my oldest OC done! Haven’t drawn her for YEARS!!

Well, you probaby wonder: What’s Destiny mode?
I can tell you:

Once every 333 years a new Destiny is born, a daughter of the goddesses of destiny,
the Moirais Klotho, Lachesis and Atropos.
A Destiny is born by normal parents and into a normal family. With the age of 5 years
their powers start to show and grow with the time.
The Destiny’s powers are to see and predict the future. Most Destinys, like Milly,
can’t control their powers and they usually activate if something big is about to happen,
like an accident, a change in somebody’s life or worse things.
Mostly they don’t even remember that they just predicted the future. While in Destiny mode,
they speak in riddles, just like the Moirais did. The voice changes, it transformes
and it sounds like more then one person is speaking.
A Destiny can be any race and they don’t have to be related to eachother
Destinys are always female, there has never been a male Destiny before.
Only every 333 years a Destiny is born, that means only ONE Destiny lives at that time.
There are never more then one at the same time.
If something very important is about to happen, Milly’s powers are so strong that she even starts floating in mid-air,
only a few feet abouve the ground.

Milly and Destiny race are mine (c) :iconarchangelduskanddawn:

I thought I might as well show it on this Tumblr account of mine too ^^
